This is a one of a kind Breedlove Masterclass MJ22/E 12-String Acoustic. Handmade by Steve Henderson in the late 1990s in the Breedlove custom shop, this build today would easily cost over $8,000.

The guitar is in excellent condition with very faint pick scratches on top and several small scuffs on the lower bout bass side. It is extremely well setup and comes with the original hardshell case.

The top is made from Sitka Spruce, shaped in the Breedlove signature Jumbo Florentine Cutaway. The back and sides are zebra-patterned Macassar Ebony. The neck and fingerboard are made of Mahogany. By anyone’s standards it’s a stunner. (See the pictures)

The MJ22/E has a smooth and articulate voice that is fully balanced.  The guitar is equally responsive playing a quiet harmony or hammering out a solo with some bite. Played lightly or by digging in, you hear vibrant treble with shimmering octave strings, and a bottom end that is clean and controlled. It has amazing projection and sustain, and it sounds equally good at fingerstyle or strumming – whether you’re playing acoustically or plugged in with the Fishman Pickup.

You would be hard pressed to find a custom guitar in this price range today that would come close to the sound, construction and playability of this guitar.
